How can I use other manufacturer's dies with the Epic Six?

Everything needed to cut QuicKutz, Sizzix Sizzlits™, Cuttlebug™, and BossKut™ dies is offered with the Epic Six tool.
To cut low-profile chemically etched metalic dies (such as our own QuicKutz dies),
you will need to use the included "Cutting" platform. To cut, place
your die on the platform with your paper or desired material you wish
to cut on top of the the die. You will then need to place the cutting
mat on top and then roll the platform through the tool using the turn
lever on the side of the Epic Six. If you have concerns with the
clarity of cut, you may wish to position your die on the sides of the
platform rather than in the center.
To cut those dies that are slightly thicker than low-profile metallic chemically etched dies (such as Sizzlits™ and Cuttlebug™ dies),
you may follow the same steps above using the "Embossing/Cutting"
platform. If your die is not cutting well, you may add one to three
sheets of regular paper underneath the die to act as a shim to increase
the cutting force (only as needed).
Steel-rule dies and thicker dies manufactured by other companies (such as Sizzix™)
may likewise be able to be cut with the Epic Six so long as the width
does not exceed the 6" opening of the tool or 13" length of the cutting
mat, but will require a second cutting mat (additional cutting mat not included with purchase of Epic Six tool)
. To cut these dies, you will follow the same cutting steps outlined
above but with using a second cutting mat as the base in place of a
cutting platform.
Please note that while the Epic Six will cut
other manufacturer's dies, QuicKutz cannot support dies or other
products manufactured by other companies and is not responsible for any
potential damage caused by using other products with our company's
tools.
